walk in bathtubs

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

Uncle mike has just gotten a new bathtub, at first it didn’t sound like much, but he was telling how he can walk into it and sit down without having to bend over and crawl. I had a hard time imagining how that would work and much less work, so I took the invite to check it out. I must say it is really pretty cool! I would love to have one of these walkin baths. At first glance it reminded me of the kind of tub that major league pitchers get to enjoy, but then I took a seat inside and though how great it would be to have one of these outside on a deck with a cigar.
Uncle Mike was bragging about the ladies that are lining up to enjoy a bath in his new water haven, and he even had a few offer to clean his bathroom every week just to use it. Mike was sold on the ease of use, as his old back makes it difficult to jump in and out of standard tubs, I’m sold on the coolness factor. I wonder if I could get my bathroom cleaned every week just for having one?

New trip means new clothes and coats

Sunday, April 13th, 2008

So the snow bug got me last week and I booked a trip to Canada for some more snow boarding and skiing. Mary was reluctant to make another snow trip so soon, but when I started shopping for more clothes, well I guess that changed her mind. Some would call this bribery, but if you’ve ever been married you know that it’s just part of the deal. Why fight it? Use this information to make life easier. Shopping always helps you get what you want with your wife, sometimes it just means you have to shop for more expensive stuff.

Anyway, she wants to be bionic woman, or at least that’s the new coat that she picked out, I wanted her to get the red but she choose the new age blue, which should be pretty on her too. We decided to get some clothes that were unusual and versatile (one of my favorite ways of getting what I want and getting her more interested in the shopping) - so I surfed over to North Face and we found all kinds of cool stuff - perhaps I will talk into more than one snow trip before the season is over. I got some new pants and she got a new coat. This is how to keep you relationships smooth. We both got what we wanted, and we’ll be doing it again.

Got a new board - hitting the slopes

Sunday, April 13th, 2008

This is big news to my friends, especially the ones begging me to join them! I hit the slopes last weekend, and it was amazing. Eric talked me into me into going, and I decided it was time for new Burton snowboards for me and the wife. It took me a while to get back into the swing of things, but at least I didn’t miss the lift!

Mary didn’t have as much fun as me I guess, she took an offer to sell her board to someone on the spot when asked, sure we made a few bucks on the sale, but she had to finish the night skiing instead of boarding. I loved the slopes and love the new board! planning another trip next weekend, who’s up for Canada?
